The Tilburg dancers: Here are the components of "Love Rituals"
We are moving to the Netherlands for the third workshop of Performing Gender, that will run in Tilburg, from the 26th October to the 1st November. Exceptionally were selected 11 dancers that every day will train at the DansBrabant–studio in Theater De Nieuwe Vorst with the local dramaturg Nina Aalders and the Italian choreographer Roberta Racis.
The title of this workshop is "Love Rituals" so we asked the dancers to tell us what words come up in their minds when they think about that. A part of them said Love Rituals are related to a gesture like • caress • hug • kiss • laughter • embrace •. The most of them agree that are based on • trust • time • passion •.
And why do not compare these rituals with a sort of • light • or even with the joy of • food •?
Someone else stated feelings like • presence • intimacy • safety • appreciation • warmth •. In conclusion, Love Rituals may active in us a sense of • care • surrender • preparation • repetition • appreciation • development • investment •.
We are really curious to know how they will translate in movement all these inspirations! Meanwhile read further to find out their names and to get to know them!
