Halfway partner meeting
Description
Dans Brabant hosted in Tilburg a halfway partner meeting, during Moving Futures dance festival, from 25th to 27th January 2018.
The general aim of this halfway exchange was to make the project further effective, sharing experiences, contents and thoughts, and to have a clearer strategy to settle in Performing Gender – Dance makes differences.
The meeting was a unique opportunity for the partners: a full immersion mostly dedicated to explore and deepen altogether Performing Gender themes, in order to have a similar vision organizing the upcoming project activities and to imagine the best dissemination practices.
The context helped the partners creativity, especially Saturday 27th when the whole programme of the Moving Futures festival was dedicated to gender and sexuality topics:

In an equally ritualistic as earthly duet two dancers recapture their place, the right to just be: sensual but blameless,cruel and soft at the same time.
An Open Studio of choregrapher Katja Heitmann.
Karel Tuytschaever‘s installation, Ghost Boy: Karel puts the world of male sex workers against that of a dancer.
The male and female are exposed by Igor Vrebac and composer Tonny Nobel in the hypnotic sexy ritual (TRÆNS).
Also Moreno Perna leads us from a clichéd woman’s image to a more androgynous perspective in his solo XYX.
