Peggy Olislaegers and Vanessa Kang at Gender Bender Festival in Bologna

Peggy Olislaegers, mentor of Performing Gender project, dance dramaturg and European activist together with Vanessa Kang, coordinator at the Tonic Theatre, will participate at the talk  "Privilege and Responsibility - Gender equality in arts and creative industries" on Saturday 27th October, during Gender Bender International Festival 2018 in Bologna.

In dance white, gay men very often are in power, being teachers, choreographers and artistic leaders of companies, theatres and festivals. Peggy Olislaegers with Vanessa Kang will challenge a panel of male leaders talking about male and white privilege. The conversation is part of the dissemination events of Performing Gender and represents an introduction to the themes of the Bologna workshop, running next December with the dance maker Jija Sohn and dramaturg Greta Pieropan

The conversation "Privilege and Responsibility - Gender equality in arts and creative industries" will take place at 3:00 pm, at Cassero LGBTI Center (via Don Minzoni 18 - Bologna).

Free entry with limited seats, the conversation is in English with the support of an Italian interpreter.

Gender Bender International Festival, produced by our lead partner Cassero LGBTI Center, started on 24th October and will animate Bologna until the 3rd November. The rich program is full of events (over 100) around all the city.
