Yorkshire Dance champions the value of dance and its development in the North of England, supporting talent development, raising standards and fostering creativity and innovation. Based in Leeds, it’s a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England and member of Dance UK. Yorkshire Dane develops dance that is located in contemporary creative practice, which is inclusive and facilitatory in approach. Underpinning this practice is a drive for research, development and innovation on the small scale built on the authentic experience of its makers and reflecting the dancing body in all its richness and diversity.
